In short: we collect what you type into the form so we can answer you. We don't sell it, rent it or trade it, and this site runs no advertising trackers.
Who runs this site

What we collect
- What you send us. When you use the “Ask a landman” form, we receive your name, phone, email, the county and state of the land, what you received, the company that sent it, any terms offered, and your question.
- Nothing from the tools. The “What did you get?” list and the decimal check run in your browser. What you pick or type there is not sent to us unless you put it in the form and send it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time, to keep the site running and secure.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser fetches them.
How we use it
To read and answer your question, to follow up on it with you, to keep a record of what was asked and answered, and to keep the site free of spam and abuse. We don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud host the site and store form entries in the United States.
- Our email provider carries mail sent to hello@landman.help.
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@landman.help with “Privacy request” in the subject. Where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act or a similar law applies, we answer within the time that law allows, at no charge.
How long we keep it
We keep a request while we're working on it and afterward for as long as our business and tax records require.
Security
The site and the form use HTTPS. Form entries are stored with Google, which encrypts stored data. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send bank or Social Security numbers through the form.
Changes
If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top.
