In short: this site gives general information for landowners and mineral owners and a way to ask a landman a question. It isn't legal advice, and sending the form doesn't hire us.

What this site is

landman.help is run by Our Landmen LLC. It explains common lease, royalty, easement and title questions in plain words, and it lets you send us your own question.

Not legal advice

We are landmen, not attorneys, and we don't give legal opinions. The pages, the “What did you get?” list and the decimal check are general information and are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Laws differ by state and change over time; the case and statute references on this site are pointers, not a full statement of the law.

Sending a question

• Sending the form or an email doesn't make us your landman and doesn't create an attorney-client or other professional relationship.
• Reading your question and telling you what we see costs nothing. Any work beyond that starts only when we agree on it, and its fee, in writing.
• Please don't send anything you aren't free to share, and don't send bank or Social Security numbers through the form.

Using the site

Use the site for lawful purposes. Don't scrape it in bulk, send spam or false requests, try to break its security, or pretend to be someone else.

Our content

The text, drawings, tools and logo on this site belong to Our Landmen LLC. You're welcome to print or save a page or your checklist for your own use.

Limits

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Our Landmen LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site or relying on its general information.

Law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming and of the United States.
